MBBR Package Plants – Efficient Wastewater Treatment Solutions

Advanced MBBR Wastewater Treatment for Compact, Scalable Solutions

US.Hydro Systems LLC. designs and manufactures modular MBBR package plants engineered for performance, efficiency, and ease of operation. Our systems are ideal for treating both sewage wastewater and industrial effluent, offering rapid installation, low energy consumption, and consistent compliance with global discharge standards.

Whether you’re upgrading an existing wastewater treatment plant or starting a new installation, our MBBR wastewater treatment process delivers reliable results with minimal maintenance.

What Is the MBBR Wastewater Treatment Process?

The Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) is a biological wastewater treatment process that uses free-floating, engineered biofilm carriers to treat sewage and industrial effluent. These carriers provide a protected environment for bacteria to thrive, allowing for efficient organic load reduction, nutrient removal, and COD/BOD treatment within a small footprint.

Unlike traditional activated sludge systems, MBBR wastewater treatment can easily handle load fluctuations and high concentrations without clogging or process instability.

Advantages of MBBR Package Plants

Our high-speed MBBR for sewage wastewater systems offer numerous advantages over conventional treatment methods:

Compact design

Saves space and reduces civil costs

Fast installation

Plug-and-play, pre-engineered packages

Fully automatic

Equipped with PLC control panels

Low energy use

Minimal blower and operational power

Modular scalability

Easily expandable as treatment needs grow

Self-cleaning

No need for solids return (RAS) or sludge recycling

Consistent output

Compliant with local and international effluent standards

How MBBR Works

Our MBBR package plants use specially designed plastic carriers suspended in aerated reactors. These carriers provide large surface area for biofilm development. As wastewater flows through the tank, organic pollutants are degraded by the microorganisms on the carrier surfaces.

A bottom aeration grid ensures oxygen transfer and mixing, while integrated sieves retain the carriers in the system. Foam control nozzles and automated sludge removal features keep operations clean and efficient.
